Nigeria: Dell Introduces New Intel-Powered Tablet for Healthcare

In a bid to transform the Nigerian healthcare system, through the use of technology, leading computer manufacturer, Dell, has launched its new Intel-powered tablet for healthcare.
During a media briefing and training for healthcare workers, the Client Product Marketing Manager for Dell, Annie Odo Effiong, revealed that the company seeks to enhance the use of technology in healthcare.
According to Effiong, Dell intends achieving this, “by introducing a new dimension to healthcare products and services that make for better diagnosis and treatment, better communication with patients, linking doctors with other doctors and generally enabling healthy living”.
Effiong added: “For over 28 years, Dell has empowered countries, communities, its customers and indeed people everywhere to use technology in the realization of their dreams. Today, we celebrate the launch of the Dell tablet with Intel inside that will deliver technology solutions in healthcare anywhere, any day.”
The marketing manager said that it was necessary to highlight the current perspectives in innovative technology towards improving healthcare solutions and increasing business growth and healthcare development.
The new Intel-powered tablet was launched during a conference set up to facilitate the engagement of industry leaders and experts. The conference sought to explore the way forward with information technology and its application to healthcare within the Nigerian context. The Intel-powered tablet by Dell, assures top notch performance in mobile, flexible and reliable computing solutions for healthcare and business.
On Intel’s mobility solutions, Market Development Manager, Intel Corporation, Olufemi Babajide explained that Intel, more than driving PC technology, is keen on enhancing user experience of mobile technology in every field of endeavor.
“For us at Intel, championing the cause of technology in Nigeria, Africa and the world is at the heart of our business and this has informed our innovative nature from inception till date. Every day, new concepts, procedures and devices associated with the use of technology in medical research and clinical practice are developed and Intel is proud to power such technologies”, he said.
