ZimSmart Villages provides telehealth and remote monitoring services. The company has teamed up with The Samp Group. The Samp Group is a globally recognized organization known for its role in cricket’s international expansion. Together, they aim to bring healthcare services to underserved areas in Zimbabwe.

The partnership is set to transform healthcare delivery through the BatsiHealth platform. It is a telehealth solution designed to bridge healthcare gaps in remote communities. This platform provides virtual care that rivals in-person consultations.

ZimSmart Villages outlined its ambitious plan to expand telehealth access across Zimbabwe. They aim to establish 150 telehealth kiosks by 2025. This plan is supported by 750 telehealth booths located in agent shops, pharmacies, and radiological centers. It is also backed by a network of 10,000 community agents. These innovations are set to revolutionise healthcare delivery in rural and underserved areas.

Addressing the media in Harare, ZimSmart Villages’ Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Admore Jokwiro, explained the initiative in detail. The initiative would allow patients in remote communities to access telehealth kiosks at post offices. They could also use booths at rural service centers for this purpose. In these locations, patients will be able to consult doctors remotely via video, receive diagnoses, and access treatment through the platform.

“The collaboration will provide affordable, quality healthcare. It will facilitate access to doctors, consultations, diagnostics, and medications. This will be achieved through innovative telehealth solutions,” Jokwiro said. “We aim to improve health outcomes by enabling early detection and management of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Our goal is to increase life expectancy in these communities by at least 10 years.”

Jokwiro also praised the involvement of The Samp Group, calling it a monumental step forward for Zimbabwe’s healthcare system. While The Samp Group has built its reputation in global cricket, its involvement in healthcare through this collaboration signals a broader commitment to community development.

The Samp Group, headquartered in the United States, has expanded its impact beyond sports. It does this through initiatives like the Samp Army Cricket Franchise. This franchise competes in international leagues such as the Abu Dhabi T10 and Zim Afro T10. Now, The Samp Group has partnered with ZimSmart Villages. This partnership aims to enhance the health and well-being of millions of Zimbabweans.

“This partnership is a perfect synergy,” Jokwiro added. “Together with The Samp Group, we will deliver healthcare to millions who need it. We will also promote innovation, technology, and sports as pathways to better health outcomes in Zimbabwe. This marks a new dawn for remote healthcare in the country.”

Ritesh Patel, founder and chairperson of The Samp Group, expressed his commitment to improving healthcare in Zimbabwe. He emphasized that the initiative would integrate expertise from the US and Indian healthcare systems to bolster healthcare in Zimbabwe

“My family and I have strong ties to the BAPS Swaminarayan Hindu Sanstha. With the blessings of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, Guru Hari Pramukh Swami Maharaj, and current Guru Hari Mahant Swami Maharaj, we have undertaken this noble initiative to serve the people of Zimbabwe,” Patel said.

The Samp ZimSmart Villages Initiative will focus on the rollout of 150 telehealth kiosks. Additionally, it will deploy 750 booths over the next two years. This effort will bring life-saving healthcare services to millions of Zimbabweans living in remote and underserved areas. This collaboration promises to reshape the healthcare in Zimbabwe, making quality healthcare more accessible to all.
